Haggarty Group Managing Director Scott Haggarty was thrilled with the opportunity to quote the roof and wall cladding for the new Asahi beverages distribution facility at Heathwood on the south side of Brisbane. But he knew that if he won the job, his team would have a big task ahead to meet the extremely tight construction deadline. That’s when Stramit’s dedicated support came into play.
One of the first things Scott did when construction company FDC Group won the job was to contact the Stramit technical services team.
“Stramit has an excellent technical services team who is always available if we need their support. And for this job, we definitely needed their expertise.
“The distribution facility has nearly 20,000 square metres of enclosed floor area, reaching up to 33 metres in height so we needed to work with roofing and wall cladding materials that were cost effective and easy to install, but in keeping with the architect’s brief.
“Stramit’s technical services team helped the D&C team select the right products for the job and then provided specialist advice when we needed it during the design phase.
“We went with Stramit’s CapacityPLUS™660 for the roof sheeting and Monoclad® for the wall cladding because both are light weight and easy to install. CapacityPLUS™660 also gave us the extra water carrying capacity we needed on the low pitched roof,” he said.
“Once we had specification worked out, Stramit’s production and delivery teams took over and made sure we got what we needed when we needed it, every time.
“If I needed to speak to somebody in production, sales or dispatch, it was never a problem. At Stramit you have easy and direct access to whoever you need to get the job done.
“Relationships matter to Stramit, and that’s what sets them apart from the rest,” he said.
