St Paul’s New Innovation Precinct

9 November 2022

The name says it all – it’s no secret that St. Paul’s Innovation Precinct is all about doing things differently. But what might not be obvious is how Stramit did just that to help ensure the project was a success.

Designed as an Innovation Centre for the schools Pre-Prep to Year 12 students, the facility is designed as a singular learning area comprising a series of spacious indoor and outdoor spaces. The spaces will enable students to transition easily from research, presentation, and project-based tasks to minimise disruption and support the learning process.

Ken King, Stramit Technical Specification Manager, said the initiative was a project built on collaboration.

“The site features a range of spaces for students including a new Sippers Café and hospitality areas; dedicate Secondary school library; study areas; new ICT classrooms; and an expanded presentation centre.”

“Our client, Towill Design Group, collaborated with St Paul’s Realms of Thinking approach to learning in an effort to foster an environment of developing curiosity, problem solving, empathy and imagination.

“We worked closely with our client to develop a new precinct that represent the way of teaching that the school has been developing and implanting for more than ten years now: Realms of Thinking,” he said.

The facility is currently under construction and is expected to be open for students by January 2023.
